Sunday, July 18, 3-4pm

The Sun, our closest star, can safely be viewed through a telescope with special filters. It is dynamic and may show filaments, prominences, granulation and sunspots. Join Albert A. Lamperti, Observing Chairperson of the Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomers Association, and learn what these terms mean and see the sun through special filters like you have never seen it before.

Please note: clouds or rain will not permit us to set up or see anything. Meet in park.

NEW! Adopt a Plot!

You can now adopt your own a 10’ by 10’ plot in High School Park to care for. If each member adopted a plot and kept invasive plants at bay and helped us replace them by planting native plants the work of many hands would make for light work year round by all.

Email Diana K. Weiner at info@fhsp.org or call 215-782-8082 to tour the park and pick your special plot today.

Weekday Work Days

Weekday Work Days are available.
